So, our "fun trip" as Kate termed it started out with the Big Apple. It was such a packed trip. I look at our pictures and can't believe that we did all that in such a short amount of time! We got there the afternoon of the 3rd. Didn't really do much that day. Just recovered from the plane ride. The next day we walked around Central Park! Kate had so much fun! We got some cute pictures of her. This is one of my favorite pictures from the park. So green and pretty!
After our walk around the park we went to a Yankee's game! It was so hot and humid! We felt like we were going to fall all the way down to the field because the seats were so angled! And there was NO where to feed a baby! I walked around looking for a bench of any kind to try and feed Tommy, but when I found the information booth they told me I had to feed him in my seat! That was not going to happen because as you can see Kate thought she had to sit with me and Tommy! So, we only made it to the 4th inning and then left. Plus Kate needed a nap!
After the Yankee's game and naps we didn't know what to do for fireworks. The game was in the afternoon. If they would have had fireworks at the game we would have stayed for sure. We ended up walking around Time Square later that night and we missed fire works. But I was fine with that. Kate hated them last year, so I wasn't ready to deal with a crying kid anyway.
The next day we started out the day with the Children's Museum of Manhattan! Kate loved that. We should have thought through that one a little better because it was Saturday and it was raining. I have never seen so many kids in such a small place before. After the museum we went and fed the horses carrots! Kate loved that part. Then we went to Battery Park. You can barely see the Statue of Liberty because it was rainy and foggy!
It was a short walk to Wall Street from Battery Park, so we went there next. I was trying to convince Kate to sit on the Bull, but she wouldn't. After that Everyone but me Tommy and my nephew Owen went to see Little Mermaid! They told us that babies under 2 weren't allowed, and seeing as Tommy likes to eat I was the logical one to stay with the babies! Kate wasn't too sure about that play seeing as she gets really scared of Ursula. But she made it through the entire play.
Kate loved riding on the subway! She loves trains, so the subway was a highlight for her! That was the end of our short trip to NYC. After that we went to the Bahamas! Much more relaxing and not as crazy!
This is Gavin on the left, Kate, and then Owen on the right! We were going to try and burying Tommy next to them, but as you can see Gavin has already got his hands out! They all escaped!

What a fun trip! I love Kate's new haircut.
What a fun trip. We have been to NY once, but we have never been to the Bahamas.
I will plan on the Sunday for the BBQ for sure then. Is it next weekend or the week after?
Have a great night and say hi to everyone for me.

Hey Kelly! I am so sad I didn't get to see you guys last weekend! At least Ryan did though...and I heard all about it...and how smart Kate is! She is so cute! My sister has been away from her husband since February and it was her 30th birthday so I planned a lot that weekend to keep her busy. I hope I will get to see you guys next time! I love being able to stay in touch with these blogs though!
