The Glamorous Life of Moms
You know when you are talking with another mom about some yucky stuff that happens to you as a mom? Well, my friend, Jill, was telling me about how her friend had their kid throw up in the car. All over the car seat and car and how bad it smelled! We were talking about how gross that was and how we really wouldn't want to clean that up! Only about 2 short hours later that happened to me!!!! Kate threw up in the car. She has this really bad habit of sticking her hands down her throat when she is coughing. I can usually catch her in time and tell her to take them out so she just gags herself. Not yesterday! We were driving, I was on the phone, and she started coughing, stuck her fingers down her throat and caused the grossest thing that could happen in the car! Luckily I was only about 1 minute from my parents house. I called my mom and she was ready with some rags to clean it off. Needless to say I had to wash the car seat, her clothes, and her baby she happened to be holding when she threw up! I had to laugh after it happened because I had just been talking about how awful that would be. Well, I have to say it wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be when I was on the phone with Jill. It probably helped that my mom was there and helped me clean it up! The only thing she asked was, "What has she been eating!" Lets just say grapes don't look yummy to me right now! She was also a big help because she took Tommy while I finished cleaning up Kate!

Julianna had reflux and threw up on herself in the car way too many times to count. Let's just say I hate careseat manufacturers for the teeny compartments that they make underneath the padding for vomit to fall in that I had to clean out with q-tips. (Just as a sidenote, tuna fish and cheerios make about the nastiest-smelling throw-up around. Sorry to be gross, but you started it!)

Yuck!
Two years ago I had the thought pop in my head that I must be a pretty clever mother because Reed had never pooed in the bathtub. Then I was on the phone and bathing him one day when ... sure enough! ... I was on the phone with Jen Johnson, she just laughed and laughed at me. (It's so nice to have mom-friends!)

Does your car still smell like vomit?

YUCK! I can't believe it happened right after we were talking about it. Thank goodness for moms...so nice to live so close to her! I hope that you still don't have the smell. Yuck!

While we were at Disney my niece threw up in the car. It smelled so bad and nobody would roll down the windows. I started seriously gagging - luckily didn't spew myself. BAD smell. Totally can sympathize.
