Do I Really Need a Bigger Car?
So, I have been trying to think if I want to get a bigger car with my third kid on the way, but with this uncertain economy we just can't decide if we really can spend the money. Then my mother-in-law sent this picture from her recent travels to India. Look closely, there are 6 people on this motorcycle! Who needs a minivan when obviously a whole family can fit quite comfortably on one motorcycle! And the mom is even ridding sidesaddle! I can't wait to drive to church like this! Do you know how much money we will save on gas with this new idea?
The only problem I can come up with is winter time. But this last winter was really not that bad, so I still think it could work! And Willie has always wanted a motorcycle, he will be thrilled to find out that this will be our new family car!!! I don't know why I have never thought of this myself!

i always knew you were smart...and that's such a good idea...think of the time you'll save...you won't have to wait in traffic either..
When we lived in England there was a family of four who came to church on two bikes, rain or shine, winter or summer, and they rode an hour each way!
The mom and the dad each had a kid on the handlebars and a kid on the back. She was in the primary presidency and brought all her visual aids and stuff in a backpack. They arrived most Sundays wearing yellow slickers, with rain dripping off the brims of their hoods.
Personally, I had a hard time driving 5 minutes in a minivan.
So I totally missed that you were pregnant!! Congrats! When are you due? OH MY GOSH, you are going to be so busy!
That will definitely save you some money and think of the "provident living" teaching lesson to kate. haha

And - yes. I think you should go for the moped. In fact, I may have to get one myself. :)
