Weekend Getaway: Part II

So it's taken a week to post anything about our crazy trip, but it went fabulously! Once Kate settled in and stopped asking if we were in Utah yet (about 60 times in the first 25 minutes), the drive was smooth sailing! Somehow Tommy only cried a little over two hours for the entire drive (roughly 18 hours there and back), so he was great! While in SLC we visited with the Tuellers (my old best friend from BYU), Willie's best bud Ryan, Willie's aunt Polly and her family, and of course my old roommate Brooke! All in all it was a very successful weekend!

We also got a glimpse of the Draper Temple, which was beautiful (except for the weather). Kate loved seeing the Angel Moroni and his trumpet! (if you want to see some cool pictures of the Angel Moroni statue on the Draper temple, check out my cousin's blog)

This is Brooke and me at her big party. It was a really cool reception, since it was at a campground picnic site, complete with cute tables showing their beautiful wedding and a campfire to roast s'mores!
